The Prophet Mohammad (SAW) was born on Monday the
12th Rabi ul Awwal, on 26 April 570 AD in Makkah, Saudia
Arabia. His noble fathers name was Sayyedna Abdullah
(RA), who passed away about six months before Prophet
Mohammad (SAW) was born, and His mothers name was
Sayyeda Amina (RA). Sayyedna Abdul Muttalib was His
Grandfather and they were belonged to Quraysh tribe in
Makkah. The name Mohammad (SAW) means
Praiseworthy.
When Prophet Mohammad (SAW) was eight (8), His
grandfather Sayyedna Abdul Muttalib (RA) also died, and
theyoungchild(Mohammad(SAW))wastakencarebyHis
uncle,SayyednaAbuTalib(RA).
One night towards the end of Ramadan, Prophet
Mohammad(SAW)receivedthefirstrevelation(Iqrabisme)
fromAllah(SWT)attheageof40inthecaveofHira(Ghare
Hira).
In 620, in the month of Rajab, Prophet Mohammad (SAW)
experienced the Isra and Miraj, a miraculous journey with
angelJibraelinonenightfromMakkahtoMasjidAlAqsain
Jerusalem on a winged horse (Buraq). There Prophet
Mohammad(SAW)metwiththeProphets,andtheProphet
Mohammad (SAW) led all of them in prayer (Salat). From
Masjid AlAqsa Buraq took Him to heaven, and then He

elevated to the Allahs (SWT) presence. Allah (SWT)


impartedgreatspiritualknowledgetoProphetMohammad
(SAW), and also granted the gift of daily five time prayer
(Fajr,Zuhr,Asr,MaghribandIsha).
Among the first people to accept the religion and to
perform the ablution and prayer were the Prophets wife
Sayyeda Khadija (RA), His ten year old cousin Sayyedna Ali
(RA), Sayyedna Zayd, the Prophets adopted son, and
SayyednaAbuBakr(RA).
The Hijra is the migration of Mohammad (SAW) from
MakkahtoMadina(oldnameisYasrab)in622.Thisevent
Hijra,marksthebeginningofIslamiccalendar,whichisalso
known as the Hijri calendar. The Muslims in Madina
welcomedProphetMohammad(SAW)bychantingTalaaal
BadruAlayna.
ProphetMohammad(SAW)builtthefirstmosqueatQuba,
a small town at distance of about two miles from Madina.
The Ansar (the residents of Madina) and the Muhajirin
(emigrants from Makkah) were formally united in
accordance with a documented drawn up by Prophet
Mohammad(SAW)thatliterallymadethembrothers.
HisKhulfaeRashideenwasfirstKhalifaSayyednaAbuBakr
Siddique (RA), second Sayyedna Omar Farooq (RA), third
Sayyedna Osman Ghani (RA) and fourth Khalifa was
SayyednaAliIbnTalib(RA).
ThefirstMouazzin(Azancaller)wasSayyednaBilal(RA).
TheProphetMohammad(SAW)wasespeciallyattachedto
His daughter, Sayyeda Fatimas (RA) sons, Sayyedna Imam
Hassan (RA) and Sayyedna Imam Husain (RA). Sayyeda
Fatima (RA) was married to Sayyedna Ali (RA). Prophet
Mohammad (SAW) would take his grandsons Sayyedna
Imam Hassan (RA) and Sayyedna Imam Husain (RA), all by
HishandsanddeclaredOAllah,Ilovethem,nowyoulove
themtoo.
Masjid Al Nabawi: The Prophet Mohammads (SAW)
mosque was established in 622 by Prophet Mohammad
(SAW), and his companions. It is located in the city of
Rasool Allah (SAW), Madina Munnwwara, Saudia Arabia.

away on 12 Rabi ul Awwal, and his tomb is under the


GreenDomeofAlMasjidAlNabawiinMadina.
Everymomentonhistomb70,000anglescomesandrecite
daroodoSalamandeverysecondtheMuslimsfromallover
the world visit his tomb for salat o salam. When Muslims
goes for Hajj and Umra, they visit to the tomb of Rasool
Allah(SAW)andreciteSalatoSalam.
TheQuran:TheQuranistheprimarysourceofinformation
forIslamandtheHolyBookof Muslims,andit iswordsof
Allah(SWT)revealedtoProphetMohammad(SAW).There
are114SurahsintheHolyQuran,SuraBaqraisthelongest
surahandSurahKausaristhesmallestsurah.
The Hadith: Saying and physical tradition of Prophet
Mohammad(SAW).
Prophet (SAW) wake up: The Prophet Mohammad (SAW)
used to wake up every day before dawn, before the Fajr
prayer starts, to worship Allah (SWT) through Salat, Dua,
Zikr,etc.
Prophet (SAW) Sleep: The Prophet Mohammad (SAW)
slept on his right side, with his right hand under his right
neck.HeusedtomakeWudubeforegoingtobed.Heused
toreciteduasbeforesleepingandreciteafewshortverses
oftheHolyQuran.
Eat like Prophet (SAW): Prophet Mohammad (SAW)
advised Muslims to eat in a way that after eating, the
stomach is only onethird full. Wash hand and recite
Bismillah (in the name of Allah) before eating, eat with
right hand and thanks Allah (SWT) after eating. He never
startedanyactivitywithoutsayingBismillah.
Play like the Prophet (SAW): The Prophet (SAW)
understood the importance of fun and games. He would
racewithhiswifeSayyedaAisha(RA)whousedtobeathim
mostofthetime.Prophet(SAW)wouldswimandwrestle
with his companions. He would joke with them too. He
playedwithchildrenandlovedthem.
Mannersofspeech/talk:ProphetMohammad(SAW)used
to start his speech or talk with Salam. He says: Saying
salam before talking. And He teaches us not to talk
unnecessarily saying: Do not talk without remembering

Allah(SWT),fortalkingwithoutrememberingAllahhardens
thehearts.
Prophet Mohammad (SAW) used to say Salam when he
arrives where people are seated when he wishes to leave,
he also say Salam as the former is as appropriate as the
latter.
When visiting people, he used to ask permission to enter
saying Peace be upon you; May I enter? And when his
guests are leaving he used to go with them to the door of
thehouse.Athomeheusedtohelpandserveshisfamily.
