Letters of the month:

Practice in the class: The first week we will review previous letters and words. One
example of doing this will be an activity where children will have to put together words
using pieces with letters on them. Moreover, students will write and practice words
starting with the letters of the month. I will use picture cards that ask children to
associate letters with photos that have items beginning with an associated letter. For
each letter, we also use audio clips that allow children to hear the correct pronunciation.
Furthermore, for each letter we will have a special project. We will also do exercises
that will practice the differentiation of vowels and consonants. At the beginning of every
week, we will have a conversation on what the children did over the weekend. We will
also continue to learn and how to say days of the week, seasons, months, colors,
shapes, numbers and weather. Once a week we will have a spelling test with 2 words
that are associated with the letters of the week. As always, we will continue to sing our
Greek songs and play games that will help the children learn new words.

The students will learn new vocabulary in regards to the theme.
