Dear
Sir
or
Madam:
Obtaining
a
teaching
position
at
River
Ridge
Academy
is
the
most
significant
career
objective
of
mine.
I
currently
teach
first
grade
at
Michael
C.
Riley
Early
Childhood
Center,
and
previously
worked
as
a
Kindergarten
Assistant
at
Pritchardville
Elementary.
My
positive
experiences
as
an
employee
of
Beaufort
County
School
District
has
strengthened
my
desire
to
obtain
a
teaching
position
at
River
Ridge
Academy.
I
would
love
for
the
opportunity
to
guide
current
and
future
students
in
accomplishing
their
goals
while
teaching
under
your
leadership.
I
graduated
Summa
Cum
Laude
with
my
Masters
of
Education
in
Learning
and
Teaching,
with
a
concentration
in
Instructional
Technology,
from
Coastal
Carolina
University
in
May
2014.
I
also
received
my
Bachelor
of
Arts
degree
in
Early
Childhood
Education
from
Coastal
Carolina
University,
where
I
graduated
Cum
Laude
in
2012.
I
hold
a
South
Carolina
Initial
Teacher
Certificate
in
Early
Childhood
Education.
I
am
currently
going
through
the
ADEPT
program,
as
I
am
an
induction
teacher
for
the
2014-2015
academic
school
year.
As
an
early
childhood
educator,
I
can
identify
with
students
grades
Pre-K
to
3,
at
all
academic
levels.
My
extensive
Instructional
Technology
graduate
coursework
has
perfected
my
ability
to
develop
lessons
around
students
short
and
long-term
goals,
while
incorporating
the
newest
technology
into
my
lessons.
I
take
pride
in
my
creative
abilities
to
develop
customized
innovative
lesson
plans
that
keep
my
students
interested
and
excited
about
all
they
are
learning,
while
differentiating
my
instruction
to
meet
each
childs
individual
needs.
I
am
a
strong
believer
in
inquiry-based
learning,
and
my
teaching
philosophy
is
to
focus
on
immersing
my
students
in
hands-on
experiences
in
the
classroom
each
and
every
day.
Critical
thinking,
self-direction,
and
learning
by
doing
are
practices
and
skills
I
emphasize
in
order
for
my
students
to
gain
a
deeper
understanding
of
all
academic
topics
and
focuses
within
each
subject
area.
As
an
educator,
I
find
teaching
personally
rewarding.
I
believe
in
helping
my
students
work
towards
their
dreams
and
that
the
time
spent
with
them
is
invaluable.
My
goal
is
that
every
child
who
enters
my
classroom
will
leave
my
class
at
the
end
of
the
school
year
as
a
well-rounded,
motivated,
creative,
and
ambitious
child.
Learning
is
fun,
and
I
will
make
sure
that
is
evident
in
my
classroom
all
day,
every
day.
Thank
you
for
the
opportunity
to
discuss
how
my
education
and
teaching
experience
will
be
advantageous
to
the
students
and
faculty
at
River
Ridge
Academy.
Respectfully,
Catherine Watts
