Run the patched software

Change to english (second from the last drop down menu)
Under communications, set your serial port
Open "Other"
Enter the frequency range you want

Note: check the other txt document for working frequencies, 100-999 is programma
ble and you can RX on all of them
UPDATED NOTE:
This software was simply modified to remove the "stops" that prevent you from en
tering invalid or out of band ranges.
The purpose of this modification is to unlock your keypad so that you may enter
an out of band freq without having to pre-program it in chirp...
NOTE: The UV-5R is an FM ONLY transceiver, so those of your trying to RX air con
trol or pager data are unfortunately out of luck, If your only goal in using the
software is to RX AM/etc... then I'd recommend an RTL-SDR instead.
