For objective A, the resistance and capacitance values are to be identified and

measured. The components given are two resistors and 3 capacitors. The four color
bands of the resistor were used for computing the value, while the alphanumeric
code stamp was used for the capacitor. It is important to be knowledgeable of the
proper way of reading in order to avoid errors. For the measured values, the digital
multimeter was used. In summary, the values computed and values measured are
in agreement, and based on the data gathered, we can state that the components
are in good condition since both set of values have very little difference.
Gor objective b, a functional check is to be performed on the oscilloscope. The
oscilloscope probe is connected to channel 1 and the probe tip and reference lead is
connected to probe comp. The attenuation of the probe and oscilloscope should be
the same. The autoset button is then pushed to obtain the best display it can
possibly have. In this experiment, a square wave of approximately 5V peak-to-peak
amplitude at a frequency of 1kHz should be displayed. The peak-to-peak voltage
was computed by multiplying the voltage displayed on the oscilloscope w/c is the
vertical factor and number of vertical division per 1 complete cycle. The probe and
oscilloscope have the same attenuation since the indicated voltage on the
oscilloscope is 5 volts w/c is the computed peak-to-peak. Channels 1 and 2
produced same values but diff color
For the third objective, the function generator and oscilloscope are to be
familiarized. The voltage for the function generator was set to 10 vpp, for the
frequenct, it is set to 1 kHz. The display showed a sinusoidal wave. The frequency,
voltage, period, mean and cycle RMS for channel 1 were displayed by pressing the
measure button, providing values to check the computed ones. The value of delta
and the pk-to-pk value are the same, meaning, the cursor 1 and 2 gave the
amplitude from min to max peak thats the same as the actual measurement. The
value of delta agree with the period gained by the measure button since delta is the
onlu difference b/w cursor 1 & 2 w/c is equal to 1 cycle

- Using the given formula to compute for the Vrms and the digital multimeter for
measuring the Vrms, we acquired a value that is almost the same to the value
measured by the oscilloscope. After determining the Vrms, we pressed the cursor
button. The cursors allowed us to get accurate readings of voltage and time
differences between maximum and minimum peak of the wave.
