Dear Dr. Geiger,
I am writing to give my highest possible recommendation for Mr. Erecson S. Solis
in relation to his application for KAAD scholarship and his desire to pursuit an
advance graduate study for PhD. Though many students ask me to make this
request on their behalf, I only recommend those whom I feel are well suited for
the program of choice. Mr. Solis is one of those and therefore, I highly
recommend that he be given the opportunity for a scholarship.
I know Mr. Solis in my former capacity as his Professor at Technical University
of Munich (TUM-Weihenstephan), when he has been my student during his
International Master in Horticultural Sciences studies. As a student, he went well
beyond accomplishing the related academic requirements of these courses in the
quantity and quality of his work. His grades have been consistently above
average in all his courses. I supervised his Master thesis on Economic Analysis
of Hydrangea macrophylla Production in a Photovoltaic Greenhouse and was
very pleased with the outcome. He has proven himself to have the perseverance
and initiative, and the intellectual creativity to complete a given task
professionally. Mr. Solis is unquestionably an exceptional candidate for the
graduate programme. He would greatly benefit from the opportunities for
intellectual development especially in his interest in the agriculture industry.
Hence, I am strongly recommending Mr. Erecson S. Solis for a place KAAD
scholarship.
