1. A few factors contributed towards the compilation of my final list. Debates derived
from my prioritising of universal primary education. Many people ranked the
Millennium Development Goal for eradicating extreme poverty and hunger as the
most important goal. I had to differ from my peers as I believe that education should
take precedence over all other MDGs. Eradicating poverty and hunger is a short term
resolution and the goal cannot be guaranteed to help future generations. In contrast,
education has a lasting effect over generations. I believe that education is the
starting point and that through education poverty and extreme hunger can be
significantly reduced.

I agree for the most part with your line of thinking, that through education you can positively influence all other
goals and promote change, however I feel that Goal 2 Combat HIV/ AIDS, Malaria, and Other Diseases as
listed in your MDG should field a number far lower and that Goals #4 and #3 must both take precedence over the
combat of HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other Diseases. I argue that the key factors in the combat against these
Diseases are:

Education: Promoting safer sexual behaviour, male circumcision, and providing treatment for HIV
prevention

Environmental: Improv

I have reconsidered my placing of the Millennium Development Goal that focuses on

eradicating extreme hunger and poverty. There are laws that exist with regards
to the minimum wage but these laws are not always followed. More needs to be
done to ensure people are paid an acceptable amount of money for their services
. If people do not earn above the minimum wage their basic human right to life
is violated. I have placed the discussed MDG higher up on my list because a
persons life is invaluable and should be of the upmost importance.

Most responses received from my peers were due to my prioritising of ed and

pov as a result the final list took iy o consideration the rsponses on drafinting my
final list I considedd the responses and made the apllicable changes
