Description

In the area of medical ward, there are three senior nursing students, three
junior nursing student, two sophomore nursing students, and one freshmen
nursing students. The medical ward is an area in Ospital ng Palawan wherein
patients who require medical attention are attended to holistically in order to
improve health and treat any current diseases. The medical ward has 6 rooms;
medical pay 1, medical pay 2, female medical 1, male medical 1, male medical 2,
1 TB isolation room, can accommodate about 20-25 cases and consists of 55
beds.
The students assigned in the Medical Ward executed proper and effective
nursing interventions through team nursing modalities.Team nursing involves
having a head nurse supervise and coordinate a team of nurses. The head nurse
assigns each individual nurse a group of patients. Each nurse is responsible for
most of each patient's care. Some of the duties may be delegated to other nurses
With this, there is an acting Head Nurse With nursing actions being performed,
the students revolved their interventions around their concepts such as leadership
and management concept for the seniors, inflammation and immunologic
disorders concept for the juniors, maternal and child abnormalities concept for the
sophomore nursing students, and theoretical and fundamentals of nursing
concept for the freshmen nursing students.
