Alis Vermonts On-Line

Licensing System
Log in to:

Note: I have created these for training purposes and for those who want to do this on their own. This is was not
created by the Vermont Agency of Education. If you have any suggestions on improvements or changes, please let
me know.

Go to: https://alis.edlicensing.vermont.gov/login.aspx
If you are a new user, click Register Here.

Enter your Name, Social Security, and Date of Birth.

Save your Data!


You must enter a 4-digit year for your date of birth and anywhere a
date is required, or you will get an invalid date.

Next, select Update Profile, from the What Do You Want to Do? Menu

The Update Profile section


contains your Personal
Information, Contact
Information, Education Details,
Employment Details and
Licensing Information. Anything
in a red font always means,
IMPORTANT Please read. A red*
means its a mandatory field and
must be completed.

Save your Data!

Your profile may already contain


information that will need to be
updated/corrected by you. Areas
in blue font are sections that
open up to more information.
Please check these sections for
accuracy as well.

Personal Information & Contact Information ask for the following.


Fill in all information, including e-mails so that the Agency of
Education (AOE) can contact you immediately with any questions.

Save your Data!

Licensing Information under the Educator Profile page provides a list of the
current licenses you have held or now hold.

Renew License lets you know if your license is up for renewal or not.

Education Details ask for the following. You can fill in all information and upload your
teaching degrees to the Documents. This will ensure that if you move to a different school
in Vermont that you can just change your Employment details and your next employer will
have your information. Fill in subject and grade information and SAVE.

For Employment Details, you need to click Add.

From the drop down menus, choose your Supervisory Union, Employer Name, City,
State, Position Held and Employment Code. If you are full time, enter 100%, check
Continuing Employment, but do not put an end date if you continue to work.

Be sure to add your subject and grades taught. Click ok, scroll down and click ok
again.

Once you enter this information, it will show up under your Profile, you will need to
scroll down and click Save, then Ok. It will then bring you back to your home menu.

This will ensure that any Professional Learning you upload will go to your Local Standards
Board (North Country LSB).

Once you are registered, you can click Print License Details
which includes your HQT status.

If your HQT status is blank, it is


likely due to a data migration
issue which the State is
working on. You can always
use your HQT letter for
details.

Change Password: Changing your Password is easy See required

PL (Professional Learning Activity

Click Add.

You will get the following screen. The pull down menu for Activity Type includes:
Academic Course, Workshops, etc. Choose one.

Fill in # of Hours or 15 hours for each credit. The pull down menu for How will you send
Document(s) include: E-mail, Mail, Hand Deliver, Upload on-line.
Description: Type in a brief description (1 to 2 sentences) describing the PL Activity.

Expected or Actual Impact: This is a again a brief description (1-3 sentences) describing the
impact of PL Activity on yourself and an educator and/or your students.
Examples of Description or Expected/Actual Impact are on the following pages. Again,
please be brief.

If you completed the course, click yes. Once you have entered everything, press Ok.
Next, if there are supporting documents, etc., you will need click on the Documents Link
in order to upload documents and then attach those documents. You may have more
than one document (Grade, supporting documents, etc.). You will need to click Add
and locate the files on your computer. Click Ok, then upload to your file. Documents
will be uploaded to your profiles. Click Save. See Note below before doing anything
further.
Note: Do not submit any Activity until you have entered all workshops and coursework
that you want to send for your next LSB meeting. Once you submit, you can no longer
enter anything further until action as been taken on what was submitted.

If it has been added correctly and you have entered your current employment under
Employment Details, you will be asked if you want to submit to NCSU LSB. If it does
not say this, enter No. You will then need to go back to re-enter your Employment
Details.
If you submit before adding your Employment Details, it will go to the Agency of
Education. They may or may not know where you are currently employed. It will be
stuck there unless you call them or let someone on your LSB know, and at that point,
they will call the AOE and get your information sent back to you or forwarded to your
correct LSB.

Examples of Course Details:


This course is a hands-on experiential approach to teaching students about fish and
wildlife management.
This course provided teachers training to develop and an understanding of assessment
goals, common assessment language, and research based strategies of assessment for
learning.
A workshop focused on current best practices in math instruction, focusing especially
on the instructional needs of learners with disabilities.
This course provided teachers with a deep understanding for the state common core
standards for math as it pertained to the Connected Math program.
This course provided teachers training to develop an understanding of assessment
goals, common assessment language, and research based strategies of assessment for
learning.
In this course we learned how to transform teaching and learning with technology
tools and skills (Google Tools) and national and state technology standards to create a
digital age learning environment.

Examples Actual or Expected Impact:


This provided me with hands-on approaches to use with my students and gave me resources and
ideas to introduce important concepts of habitat, wildlife management and impacts resulting from
human and wildlife interactions. In this course I developed a curriculum for my students that teaches
ethical thinking through conservation principles.
This course helped me to develop a greater capacity of monitoring the learning of all students and
adjust my instruction to better meet their needs and revise assessments in order to move learning
forward.
This workshop provided excellent strategies that I used with 2 students with Autism that I teach math
to everyday. Especially helpful were methods for teaching multiplicative reasoning and fractional
reasoning. Both students made significant progress thanks to the approach I learned in this series of
workshops.
This course familiarized me with common core standards and math practices for each unit in the
Connected Math program. With my increased knowledge of these practices and standards I can
enhance delivery of my teaching which will improve student learning.
This course helped me develop a greater capacity of monitoring the learning of all students and
adjust my instruction to better meet their needs and revise assessments in order to move learning
forward.

I developed a project unit that aligned with the common core standards and integrated technology
into my teaching and learning practices. This enhanced my teaching and helped me provide students
with the newest technology.

Save & Go To Next Step.

Click Yes. Then press, Save & Go To Next Step. It will then ask for the CRC Originator (AOE
or Supervisory Union). If you choose Supervisory Union, it will ask you to choose one.
Again, Save & Go To Next Step.

You will then have to check off an Attestation and submit to the Agency of Education
(AOE).

As the new rules have been officially adopted, the Alis On-Line System will change to
better reflect what has been voted on and passed. There is no longer an IPLP or goals
that need to be reflected on. All you have to do is submit your Professional Learning
to your Local Standards Board (LSB).
All Professional Learning should be submitted on line to your local LSB as much as
possible.

All AOE Paperwork starting with the next school year will be sent to you
electronically.
