You have been asked by Playwire Media to perform research in order to identify and define the
target audience for Dying Light, a new action-adventure survival horror game developed by
Techland and published by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment.

ASSESSMENT 1: Defining Audiences


To complete this task effectively you will first need to look into
the game to define its genre, style and platform.
To complete your initial research you will be working in groups
of three. Once you have decided on your groups you will need to
undertake research in order to discover who the audience for the
game will be.
You will need to gather both qualitative and quantitative data on
audiences. You should also use audience profiling to define your
target audience. You can use a range of different research
techniques for each style if you feel necessary.

which audience is likely to purchase the game
Once all you data has been collected you will need to work
individually to create a 7 minute presentation of your findings.
