3-time Pakistan100 Winner &
AllWorld Champion

These companies, led by dynamic

men and women, represent the leading
edge of a new approach to Pakistans
competitiveness.

Chairman, Harvard Business School

Overview

The Pakistan100
Pioneering Entrepreneurs
Created 20,000 jobs in
three years
During the last decade, Pakistan has faced daunting
political and economic challenges.
Now, a new
dimension of the story is emerging that of Pakistan as
an entrepreneurial powerhouse.
The AllWorld Pakistan100 presented by Bank AlFalah
is a ranking of some of the fastest growing private
companies pioneering solutions in old and new
industries. This group of 100 grew and average of 136%
from 2010 to 2012, and created 20,000 new jobs since
2010. The Pakistan100 winners were announced at
a gala Award Ceremony November 17th at the Serena
Hotel in Islamabad, hosted by AllWorld Network,
Bank Alfalah, Cyan Capital and MIT Enterprise Forum
Pakistan.
Founded mostly in the last ten years, these
entrepreneurial companies already account for $1.2
billion in sales and employ 43,000 people. They
are succeeding in industries from technology, to
pharmaceuticals, to textiles, and their growth rates
exceed Pakistans GDP growth by a factor of ten.
Their performance showcases the abundance of
opportunities in Pakistan, and the ways in which
entrepreneurs are pioneering solutions to social and
economic problems.
The Pakistan100 have created no less than 803
companies that are currently operating, including the
Pakistan100, others they previously established or
expect to form in the next year, and 273 their employees
have been encouraged to create. These 803 companies
illustrate Pakistans entrepreneurial intensity, and many
of these serial entrepreneurs would feel right at home
in Silicon Valley.
The 2013 Pakistan 100 winner, Fist Security, is also
the largest Pakistan100 employer with 5,140 full time
employees. Founded by Gulraiz Kahn in 2009, Fist
has grown by an astonishing 2,487 percent providing
security services to clients including the Embassies of
Sweden and Hungary, International Federation of Red
Cross, and METRO / MAKRO Mega Stores. Gulraiz, a
former member of the Pakistan Army, recruited some of
his commanding officers to help him build a world-class
security firm, and now Fist is spinning off companies in
vehicle monitoring and logistics.

The #2 Pakistan100 winner growing at 607 percent,

Zeeshan Karimi of Aerolube began his entrepreneurial
endeavors when he was 21, winning a Shell contract for
parts of Karachi, and then the sole distribution rights for
Shells aviation lubricants business when he was only
30. Zeeshan engaged former PIA aircraft engineers to
expand the business, and found new applications in
the industrial arena to propel Aerolubes growth.
Wasif Ahmad launched #3 Pakistan 100 winner,
Hostings House, growing at 550 percent when he was
a university student and now employs 75 people to
service customers in the US and UK in hosting, web
development, and more. When the power in Pakistan
goes out, Hostings House taps the solar systems they
installed to keep servicing their top clients including US
Groupon.
The entrepreneurial impact of the Pakistan100 is
uniformly inspiring. Take one of the largest company
by revenue in the Pakistan100 and #10 company
growing at 284%. Alliance Healthcare was founded by
Dr. Muhammad Tariq Khan and a group of doctors who
established Northwest General Hospital & Research
Center five years ago in Peshawar now serving 24,000
patients a month, many of them Afghan. They operate
a training center for paramedics, and are opening a
nursing college, and dental and medical school. The
hospital serves a low-income population with the latest
interventions from radiotherapy to nuclear medicine.
The passion for what the Pakistan100 does appears
to be contagious. Take Abid Butt, the #1 company from
2012 who founded E2E Supply Chain Management.
Abid has teamed up with three other Pakistan100
winners (Inbox Business Technologies, Creative Chaos
and ARPATECH) to reduce agricultural wastage from
40 to 4% to boost income for farmers and the countrys
GDP by pioneering a new system around packaging,
refrigeration and transport.
Privately-held companies from around the country
and from any industry were invited to apply for the
Pakistan100. AllWorld Network vets applicants for
business excellence and their ranking was determined
by their three-year sales growth percentage, with the
fastest growing company taking the number one spot.
Speaking on to the Pakistan100 winners, Deirdre Coyle,
AllWorld co-founder said, the Pakistan100 highlights
the role of the private sector in pioneering new
solutions and opening up new jobs and new industries.
Now is the time for the Pakistan100 to join forces to
become the largest entrepreneurial collaboration to
push forward the doors of innovation and progress.
