The Siva Temple at Goregaon and Gadhegal at Worli

The premises of the Sivalaya (Fig. N 4.1) next to the Rama Temple, situated
on Ram Mandir Marg, Goregaon (West), Mumbai, is full of fragments and
architectural antiquities. Many sculptural remains of the old Siva temple
found in the medern temple premises that are carved out from basalt rock. The
modern temple faces east. The sivalinga (Fig. N 4.2) lies in the centre of the
