MegaCards: Beginners Series!

MegaCards is a great memory game that is simple to play and will help increase your picture,
word and phrase recognition. MegaCards will also help immensely with making you feel comfortable pronouncing words in German around other people. The Beginners Series has 310
commonly used words and phrases that you can test yourself or other people with.
Setting Up

Setting up MegaCards is easy, just print out the entire Beginners series on your printer,

Cut each page into 6 pieces, using the cut-lines shown,

Fold each of the 6 pieces in half, using the fold-line,

You will also need a pen and paper to write on.

Game Play
Single Person

Place all of the folded pieces in a pile with the picture side up,

Start from the top of the pile and write down the German translation on your paper,

Go through the entire pile and mark yourself 1 point for a correct answer for however

many you wish to do.
Two or More People

Place all of the folded pieces in a pile with the picture side up,

Start from the top of the pile and show the picture to the person on your left,

They have to pronounce what the German equivalent of the word is,

If they get it right then they get 1 point,

Then you pronounce the German phrase on the back of the card,

If they can translate the phrase into English then they get another point,

That is the end of their turn and they then pick up the next card and show the picture to

the person on their left, and so on.
