Question: Explain how you connected to two poems within the module. Use specific evidence to show your
connection.

I connected to both The Road Not Taken and A Dream Deferred

because of the lessons they teach. In The Road Not Taken, the speaker
faced two roads diverged in the wood and has to make a choice about
which path to take. He chooses the road not taken and it has made all
the difference in his life. It teaches the valuable lesson that taking risks
and living life to the fullest can make a difference in your life. In A Dream
Deferred, the speaker wonders what happens to a dream that gets put on
hold. He wonders if it stinks like rotten meat or if it explodes. The
lesson in this poem also encourages people to live life to the fullest and
pursue our dreams and goals. Both poems include valuable life lessons
that reminded me to not be afraid to pursue my dreams.
