I am the King. I control


the whole of the country.
To help me rule the
country, I will give some
land to people who are
loyal to me.

I am baron Robert. King


William has given me
some land. In return I
have sworn an oath of
loyalty to him. When he
requests it, I must
provide money, food and
supplies to the King.

I am baron Eustace. I
have also been given
some land by William. As
well as swearing an oath
of loyalty, we barons
must provide William
with soldiers for his army.

I am baron Henry. I have


been given some land to
rule over by King William.
Barons like myself live in
castles. Because I we
too much land for one
person to rule over, we
barons give some lands
to knights. People who
are loyal to us.

I am Sir Richard, I am a
knight. I have been
given a village to rule
over by Baron Robert. In
return I have to serve in
the Kings army when
Baron Robert asks me to.

I am Sir Edgar, I am a
knight. I have been
given land by baron
Eustace. I live in one of
the largest buildings in a
village. It is called the
manor house.

I am Sir Alan, I am a
knight. I have been
given a village to rule
over by Baron Eustace. I
have to provide food and
supplies to Baron Eustace
when requested. I collect
all the food from the
peasants I rule over.

I am Sir Eric, I am a
knight. I have been
given a village to rule
over by Baron Henry. I
must collect money from
the people when Baron
Henry asks me to.

I am Sir Edward, I am a
knight. I have been
given a village to rule
over by Baron Robert.
Once a year, I have to
swear an oath of loyalty
to Baron Robert.
