Safety Considerations:
Students must be aware of their
surroundings at all times. Students must
respect each others personal space.
Equipment should never be thrown at
another student unless it involves a
student throwing an object for the
intended purpose of catching it. Physical
injuries, bullying, or any misbehavior will
be reported to the person in charge on
campus.
Lesson Specifics
Behavioral Contingencies: Misbehaving,
Previously Learned Skills: Safe tagging
playing with equipment when told not to,
techniques, go/freeze meanings,
talking when shouldnt be talking,
where homebase is, and knowledge of
touching others, and calling others
the strikes rule
inappropriate names are all examples of
behaviors that arent tolerated. 2 strike
rule. 1st strike, student is warned and will
sit out for a few minutes. 2nd strike,
student will go inside.

Set Induction:
So far in our football unit, we
have learned throwing, catching,
and punting. Who here can tell
me the cues of throwing?
Catching? Punting? (Student
demonstration for each). Great!
Today we will learn offensive
strategies known as football
routes, which are ways to evade
the defense.
Throwing cues:
1) laces, 2) athletic stance, 3)
face sideways to target, 4) bring
arm back to ear, 5) extend and
follow through
Catching cues:
1) Eye on ball, 2) triangle with
thumbs and index finger
together, 3) bring ball into body
Punting:
1) Hold, 2) step, 3) drop, 4)
