Professional Goals 1. Secure a summer 2015 internship Objectives Research and target at least 4 writing, marketing or communications companies over the next 4 weeks for a summer internship in Cincinnati Apply to at least 4 of these internships by February 28 Edit resume and finish by the end of the week, adding at least two more bullet points under job experience, to submit to LinkedIn and internship applications (scannable and standard) Obtain list of references by February 17 to give to potential employers Research agencies that will be at the career fair by February 12 Research eight different fashion magazines in New York City Talk with my mentor at least two times over the next month to confer about my resume and discuss possible internships 2. Become more familiar with public relations and marketing Objectives Research at least 5 different marketing and PR firms in Cincinnati over the next 3 weeks Make lists regarding the goals and focuses of each company that I find in my research Look into marketing and PR classes at Xavier to schedule for first semester of senior year Reach out to my mentor with my research of these companies and receive input about each one, especially the one that she thinks would fit best with my skills 3. Establish connections at my ST Media Internship Objectives Get to know at least 5 coworkers and learn more about their jobs by February 28 Before the end of the semester, see if ST is looking for summer interns Continue to learn more every day about what my boss, Mark Kissling, is responsible for on a daily basis. By the end of the semester, ask Mark for a reference letter Interview the President of ST at least once during the course of my internship Complete all five of my intern projects at ST over the course of the semester with diligence 4. Graduate in May Objectives Maintain a GPA of at least 3.5 to stay on the Deans List Complete 120 credit hours by May 2016 5. Move to New York City after graduation to establish career in publications or related field Objectives Search for potential roommates by first semester of senior year Begin to research ten possible English, public relations, publishing, writing, marketing or communication careers in NYC by first semester of senior year Attempt to connect with at least 15 people on LinkedIn that have jobs in NYC in any of the above career fields

Objectives Work for at least two different companies (preferably fashion) to gain experience in the publishing and editorial field Apply to at least eight different fashion companies Reach out to Vogue, especially, and see if theyre hiring any positions Start out at company as writer or editor and work way up 7. Publish a novel Objectives Begin writing my novel and meet with peers every week to do some proofing and editing within five to ten years of post-graduation Connect with professors from Xavier and get their feedback on novel 8. Teach a writing class Objectives o Try to teach one night a week, at least, at a college in New York City
