The Executive Committee then recessed for dinner and reconvened an hour later to stay in session until the end of the ‘sit-in. In a meeting that lasted some six hours, members of the Black Collegians and the six members of the University administration discussed the Jist of de- mands presented by the blacks. After individual meetings with the six, a letter was drafted and signed by the six. This was presented to the Black Collegians and was followed by a final set of re- quests from A.B.C. which was also signed by the administrators. (See page six for these two documents). This final meeting ended at approximately 1:00 am. At 1:10, nearly twelve hours after the occupation of the Arts Office, black students left the building while Asso- ciation of Black Collegians President Geoffrey Carter stood on the north steps of Ritter Hall and read the state- ment signed by representatives of the University administration. The crowd of approximately 200 white students which had been standing outside the building dispersed quickly. Ke | THE EDO at an bet
