Grade Two
Weekly Update

Hello Grade 2 Parents! We had a lot of fun during literacy week

Language:
-We did A LOT of reading this week
- We used adjectives to describe Horton the Who
_We practiced finding rhyming words
- We wrote fun and silly Dr. Seuss Poems
-Thank you to all of you who emailed and sent in
pictures of Extreme Reading! It is wonderful to see
the students reading everywhere!

Math:
- We had fun doing Dr. Seuss Math. We used fish
to estimate, tally and graph!
-We practiced adding together 3, 4 and 5 numbers
- We practiced multiplication using pictures and
making number stories

Science:
-We talked about inventions and discussed the 10
greatest inventions of all time.
- We investigated into forces and motion using our
new set of class books.
- We talked about how to classify inventions

Next Week:
-Guided reading groups will be back up and
running.
- We will award students who read the most on
Raz- kids with their prizes.
