Award

Eligibility

Any student can nominate his/her favorite teacher from the 2014-2015 school year. Nominations must be current; a
student cannot nominate a teacher he/she had in a prior school year. Nomination essays must be in a childs own words,
though transcriptions are allowed.
Winning teachers will be recognized in The Heralds back-to-school Class section published Sunday, August 16, 2015.
Public, private and charter school teachers in York, Lancaster and Chester counties may be nominated. There will be up to
18 winners chosen, one each from grades K-5, 6-8 and 9-12 in Lancaster and Chester counties, and Districts 1-4 in York
County. (Public, private and charter school nominations will be considered together.)

judged by a panel of Herald employees. The judges decision will be final.
8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Winners will receive $100 to be used in their classrooms and will also
receive weekly deliveries of The Herald for the Fall, 2015 semester, with a
Newspapers-in-Education curriculum guide.
