Reading Requirement:

In our class, our students are asked to read and write

thoughtful reflections on at least 40 books. Data
shows that test scores increase as students digest
good literature! I suggest that our students read four
books in each of eight genres:
o Realistic fiction
o Historical fiction
o Traditional literature
o Information
o Biography/Memoir
o Science Fiction
o Fantasy
o Hybrid (a blend of two or more genres)
