Psalm 19:1-9, 14
The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. Day to day
pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there
words; their voice is not heard; yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to
the end of the world. In the heavens he has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a
bridegroom from his wedding canopy, and like a strong man runs its course with joy. Its rising is
from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them; and nothing is hid from its heat.
The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the decrees of the LORD are sure, making wise
the simple; the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the
LORD is clear, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever; the
ordinances of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O LORD, my
rock and my redeemer.
Creator, gracious God,
Your children give praise for this glorious existence!
Such a wonder that You've made,
to gift to us, as stewards and keepers.
Your trust, as Maker, in us is great!
So much splendor, the heavens sing, their silent voices stirring wind, constant adulation,
never ceasing, never silent; the music of the spheres drive our imaginations!
Every morning the Sun, rising as You willed it first, travels its path,
lighting us on our way; Your creation gives praise for its warmth and life!
And like the rays cross the land, so too does Your inspiration find us,
as though the wind, like those silent exultant voices, whispers wisdom,
reminding us to be as children, with innocent knowledge
and Christ-like love for all, that, with the wind and sun,
might cover all the Earth.
Allow us the strength to help each other,
and in return, help us to allow ourselves to be pulled from personal darkness,
as I can only hope that Your want is for the good of Your created,
as I have been taught,
From our thoughts and lips, let there be praise,
thanks, and hopeful prayer
so that the trust You have bestowed might be realized and not in vain
Thank You for the guidance of those who work through you,
and for the solitude to contemplate and gain understanding by the words recorded,
for the sweet sounds of music, celestial and otherwise,
knowing love, giving love, and receiving love,
knowing You, giving as Christ, and receiving the Spirit.
Thank You for making us, as we are, in this place and time, so that we might be.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be
acceptable to You,
let it be.
