General Assembly Committee

Islamic Republic of Iran (Lyric Hildner)

Resolution to Israel-Palestine Conflict
ISRAEL-PALESTINE CONFLICT
The Security Council and General Assembly,
Aware of the countless acts of war against Israeli people and Palestinian people alike and
the
constant non-stop threats against each other,
Keeping in mind the 131 other resolutions the Security Council has adopted and how
none of
them have left a lasting impact on the Israeli and Palestinian people,
Alarmed by the amount of Palestinian refugees living in neighboring countries of
Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and Egypt, 750,000 persons in 1950, now over 5,000,000 persons
in
this time,
Confident that both cultures, with their respective religion, deserve a land that is their
own without a larger country or political figure above them watching and controlling the
government of Israel and Palestine, more specifically, everyone has their own country
Having examined the living conditions of many Palestinian refugees, many of which live
on the streets and have no electricity and clean water, and hearing the concerns from
nearby governments and individuals about said living conditions,
Expecting a willing committee to step in and aid the Palestinian refugees in rebuilding a
culture that can thrive and improve the well beings of its people by bringing supplies to
reinvigorate the homes and towns of the Palestinians,
Desiring that a peaceful solution be reached between Israel and Palestine while letting
Palestine become a country of its own, with its own land big enough to hold the entire
Palestinian people,
Fully aware of the lack of support on the Israeli side and hoping that the UN steps in, in
place of Israel to set up the progression of Palestine from a territory into a new country
using the idea of multiple members of the general assembly to help get the new countries,

a smaller Israel and the new Palestine, started on growing an economy that can support
said country,
Deeply disturbed by the way the Israeli people treat the Palestinians that try to cross the
border into Israel because of jobs and other daily needs, as shown by the article The story
of Rafat, Palestinian from a refugee camp in occupied Palestine, on refugees.resist.ca,
The 55 km distance, which in normal circumstances takes about an hour, always takes
more than 3 hours (each way) because of the many military checkpoints and sand
shelters. This is in addition to the expected interrogations, beatings, and arrest, which
could be for no reason but depending on the situation and the mood of the soldier at the
checkpoint in that specific day,
Convinced that the Palestinians are in need of weapons to protect themselves, which Iran
and
other surrounding countries have been supplying them with in the last few months to a
year, as
stated in Iran Arms Palestinians for New War with Israel by Adam Kredo on The
Washington Free Beacon,
Bearing in mind the fact that Israel used to be an ally or Iran, as said in the article Iran
und
Israel: The Best of Enemies by Thomas Latschan, which states that Iran and Israel were
on
good terms but then ended when Iran began to question Israels Palestine solution which
shows that most countries have questioned Israel's ethics,
1. Urges the Security Council to be more cooperative with the Palestinians problems
and not just the Israeli problems;
2. Calls upon all allies of both the Israelis and the Palestinians to stop aiding the two
sides while this resolution is put in place so that no one will be persuaded to go a certain
way such as war;
3. Supports the idea of Palestine getting half of the land that Israel is made up of
now, including the West Bank and the Gaza Strip;
4. Recommends that the land known as Israel, be split in half around the 32 degree
latitude line, with some give room to even out the amount of land for both sides;
5. Draws the attention of the UN to create a peace zone of sorts between the two
sides, Israel on top and palestine below, that comprises of 15 miles between the two:

a) The Security Council will look over the land between the two future countries;
6. Further reminds the UN that sanctions will be placed on the two countries as to
not attack or agitate the other side:
a) If one or the other sides were to attack, land would be given to the victim
country as
an incentive not to attack;
7. Emphasizes that all people living in the two countries, specifically closer to the border and
the 15
mile intermediate zone, must live in peace:
a) This means that all fighting and initiating attacks towards one another will be
against
sanctions put on said country;
8. Has resolved that Israel should be split to accommodate both the Israeli and Palestinian
people,
as well as space for a UN moderated zone in between the two sides for peaceful citizens of
both cultures to love peacefully.
