Opening statement

We believe that time leads to forgiveness which always has a more positive
outcome than revenge. Evidence from the Mary and Oshea case, the Eva
Mozes and Dr. Munch case, and the Prospero and the nobles event in the
Tempest clearly portrays that our claim is most definitely true .

Claim: Time leads to forgiveness which has a more positive outcome than
revenge.

Evidence 1: the Mary and Oshea case:

I really didnt know what forgiveness was, she told TODAY.com,
explaining that it took time for the words to really feel true.
Afterward, Johnson became hysterical, doubled over in shock, and
kept repeating the phrase, I just hugged the man that murdered my
son. It was then, Johnson recalls, that she was set free.
Johnson says that some consider her journey of reconciliation with
Israel to be crazy. But the pair now share their experience around the
country as a part of From Death To Life, a nonprofit Johnson founded
to provide healing and reconciliation between families of victims and
those who caused harm.
Johnson said her forgiveness if Israel in no way condones what he did
20 years ago, but that she did it to free herself of suffering.

Evidence 2: The Tempest

For you, most wicked sir, whom to call brother
Would even infect my mouth, I do forgive
Thy rankest fault, -- all of them; and require
My dukedom of thee, which perforce, I know,
Thou must restore. (5.1.130-4)
...if you now beheld them, your affections
Would change
...Mine would, sir, were I human. (5.1.

Evidence 3: Dachau
Forgiveness is a seed of peace was the message spread to about
380 eighth-graders in the gymnasium of Aux Sable Middle School in
Joliet
I never wanted to have to speak of these events again. I had put all
this behind me and forgiven all who wronged me. He gave this
account of his personal experience of survival, not for recognition, he
said, but to testify against those who claim that the Holocaust is a myth.
Determined to live the rest of his life in peace, Kaplan said he forgave
them all, even the people who murdered his family, or else the hate
burning inside would consume him.
Counter arguments towards other peoples claims:
Counter Argument for Aarons group
Forgiveness and revenge are purely emotional based, when it
comes to forgiving and or pursuing revenge then the law and
justice does not play a effect
Dr Munch did not serve any prison time or receive any
punishments for the things he did in the S.S. and yet Eva still
forgave him. She described the experience as an incredible
weight of suffering lifted from me and a feeling of strength.
We give a bit of empathy to the soldiers who killed the Nazis.
And yet, they became very much like the Nazis they were
gunning down.
