GREAT NEWS!

HERNE BAY MUSEUM TRUST

GETS THE GO-AHEAD
Yesterday the Canterbury City Council Executive accepted the Trusts

submission and granted the Trust the contract to take over the running of our
museum from April 1st.

There is to be a meeting for the volunteers, interested parties and groups,

open to all, on 27th March at 7pm in the Retreat Hall (formerly British Legion
Hall), 41 Central Parade. (there is also access in Charles Street).

This meeting is to introduce the Trust and to make known its future plans

and ambitions, as well as starting to bring the volunteer groups into the process.

There is already a pool of enthusiastic and willing volunteers, more are

needed.

The Trust, the Friends and Herne Bay Historical Records Society have great
plans to refresh the museum.

The museum will re-open on Saturday May 23rd.
