Course Description: Evaluation of information and communication technology.


Impacts of information and communication technologies on organizations and
society.
Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Compare definitions for information, communication, technologies, and
information and communication technologies (ICT).
2. Appraise the history of ICT.
3. Estimate when to adopt new technology.
4. Design ICT systems.
5. Assess the impact of ICTs on organizations and society research, e
commerce, ebusiness, e-government, and the learning models.
6. Predict future trends in ICT.

Due Date Policy for Assignments & Tests: All assigned work must be submitted

Evaluation & Expectations: Students will be evaluated on research projects,
presentations, quizzes, discussions, and portfolio entries. Expectations include:

Complete all projects
Attendance: This is an online course so no physical attendance is required,
although there will be two optional face-to-face meetings. Students are responsible
for attaining course objectives and completing the required activities by specified
due dates. It is extremely important to follow timelines, as other students are
dependent on them.

Research Paper: Information and Communication Technologies and e-__________

Introduction
The focus of this course has been on Information and Communications Technology
and applications in organizations. In this course, we discussed e-business ecommerce and e Learning. For your research paper, you need to focus in on the use
of information communication technology in organizations in a specific field. The
following rubric will guide you in developing your paper. The paper should be
approximately 5 pages, single-spaced, not counting the cover page and
bibliography. You need to incorporate the at least two of the models discussed in the
Information and Communication Technology presentation.

The following technical criteria will be used in evaluating the
paper. Cited a minimum of 10 references. Minimums of 3
references need to be from refereed sources. Grammatically
correct. Proper sentence structure. Free of spelling errors. APA
format for references and bibliography Followed headings as
listed. Text body was in 12 point Times Roman or comparable
and single-spaced and headings were in 12 point Arial bold.
Attractive cover page. The paper flowed well, had visual appeal
and had an overall professional presence. Covered the 4 topics
listed above.
