mirror  of  my  heart  and  then  narrate  the  sacred  glory

Baranou Raghubara Bimala Jasu,  dynasty, The giver of four fold attainments of life. The 
Jo Daayaku Phala Chaari  four  fold  attainments  are  Kama  (pleasure),  Artha 
(wealth),  Dharma  (religious‐merit)  and  Moksha 
(salvation). 

Buddhi Heena Tanujaanike,  Knowing  myself  to  be  ignorant,  I  urge  you,  O

Kaandhe Moonj Janeun Saaje   hands with the sacred thread of Munja grass adorning 
Sankara Suvana Kesaree Nandana,  your shoulder. Reincarnation of Lord Shankar and the 
Teja Pratapa Maha Jaga Vandan  son  of  Kesari,  your  lustre  and  glory  is  praised  by  the 
whole world. 

Vidya Vaana Gunee Aati Chatur,  The  master  of  all  knowledge,  full  of  virtue  and 
Ramakaja Kareebe Ko Aatur  wisdom,  you  are  always  eager  to  serve  Lord  Ram. 
Prabhu Charitra Suneebe Ko Rasiya,  Immersed  in  listening  to  hymns  on  Lord,  in  your 
Rama Lakhana Seeta Mana Basiya  cherished heart do, Ram, Laxman and Sita dwell. 

Sookshmaroopa Dhari Siyahi Dikhava,  While you presented your humble form to Mother Sita, 
Vikataroopa Dhari Lanka Jarawaa   You assumed demonic size and burnt the city of Lanka. 
Bhima Roopa Dharee Asura Sanhaare,  In your colossal manifestation, you killed the demons, 
Ramachandra Ke Kaaj Sanwaare  fulfilling your Lord’s mission. 
 

Laaye Sanjeevan Lakhana Jiyaye,  You  revived  Laxman  with  the  Sanjivani  (nectarine 

Shri Raghubeera Harasheeura Laaye   herb, said to revive the dead) you brought and Sri Ram 
Raghupatee Keenhi Bahuta Badaayii,  Chandra  embraced  you  in  deep  joy.  Sri  Ram  Chandra 
Tum Mam Priya Bharatahi Sama Bhayee   said  you  were  as  dear  as  his  brother  Bharat  and 
praised you highly.  

Sahas Badan Tumharo Jas Gave,  The  Lord  of  Lakshmi  embraced  you  saying  Sheshnaga 

Asa Kahe Shreepathee Kantha Lagaave   (the  thousand  hooded  divine  carrying  earth’s  weight 
Sanaka Dik Brahma Dee Muneesa,  on  his  hoods, and said in the vedas) sings your glory. 
Narada Sarada Sahita Aheesa  Not only Sheshnaga but also Sanaka (a saint), Brahma 
(the  creator  of  the  universe)  and  other  Gods,  Narad, 
Sharda  (the  Goddess  of  knowledge)  and  other  sages

Rama Milaaya Rajapada Deenha  helped  Sugruva  (brother  of  Bali  who  with  the  help  of 
Rama was crowned as King of Kishkindha). 

Tumharo Mantra Vibheeshana Maanaa,  Vibhishana  (brother  of  Ravana,  crowned  the  king  of 

Lankeswara Bhaye Saba Jaga Jaanaa   Lanka after Ravana’s death), acccepting your counsel, 
Juga Sahastra Jojana Par Bhanu,  became  the  King  of  Lanka,  is  known  throughout  the 
Leelyo Taahi Madhura Phala Jaanu  world. You swallowed the sun, millions of miles away, 
talking it to be a sweet fruit. 

Prabhu Mudrika Meli Mukha Mahee,  Keeping the Lord’s ring in your mouth, you conquered 
Jaladhi Laanghee Gaye Acharaj Nahee   the  mighty  ocean  (Hanuman  crossing  the  ocean  in 
Durgam Kaaja Jagatke Jethe,  search  of  Sita).  With  your  grace  all  the  impediments 
Sugama Anugraha Tumhare Tete   and  the  difficulties  in  the  world  can  be  overcome 
easily. 

Ram Duaare Tuma Rakhwaare,  No one can enter Rama’s abode without your consent, 
Hota Na Aagyan Bina Paysaare   O sentinel of the Lord. By your grace one can enjoy all 
Sab Sukh Lahai Tumhari Sarana,  happiness and one need not have any fear under your 
Tum Rakshak Kahoo Ko Darna   protection. 

Aapan Tej Samhaarao Aape,  When  you  roar  all  the  three  worlds  tremble  and  only 
Teeno Lok Haankate Kaapein  you  can  control  your  might.  Evil  spirits  cannot  come 
Bhoota Pishaacha Nikata Nahee Aawe,  near your devotees, Lord Mahaveer, who chants your 
Mahabeera Jaba Naama Sunaavay   name. 

Naashai Roga Hare Sab Peera,  Chanting your name constantly, O Hanuman, one can 
Japata Nirantara Hanumatha Beera   be cured of all disease and pains. Hanuman keeps one, 
Sankat Se Hanuman Chodave,  who has him in his heart, deed, word and meditation, 
Man Krama Bachana Dhyan Jo Laave   free from all trouble.

Asabara Deena Jaankee Maataa   anyone with any of eight siddhis and nine nidhis You, 
Rama Rasayan Tumhare Paasaa,  with ambrosia that is Ram, are always in the service of 
Sadha Raho Raghupathee Ke Daasaa   Lord Raghupati (the King of Raghu Dynasty ie Ram). 

Tumhare Bhajan Ram Ko Paave,  One  can  reach  Ram  chanting  your  name  and  become 
Janma Janma Ke Dukha Bisaraave  free  from  sufferings  of  many  lives.  After  death  he 
Antha Kaal Raghupatee Pura Jaayee,  enters  the  eternal  abode  of  Sri  Ram  and  remains  a 
Jahaa Janma Hari Bhakta Kahayee   devotee  of  him,  whenever,  taking  a  new  birth  on 
earth.

Yah Shata Baar Paatha Kara Joyee,  hundred times, is liberated from earthly bondage and 
Chutahee Bandhee Maha Sukha Hoyi   enjoys the highest bliss. 

Jo Yaha Pade Hanuman Chaleesa,  He,  who  reads  these  forty  verses  as,  Lord  Shanker 
Hoye Siddhi Saakhee Goureesa   witnesses, overcomes all troubles. Tulsidas (the writer 
Tulasidasa Sada Hari Chera,  of  these  verses)  is  an  eternal  devotee  of  Lord  Hari.  O
