Fostering Resilience with Community Partners

CALMs primary focus is prevention and mental health treatment

but our clients typically need much more to succeed.

We foster resilience by integrating our services with other
providers in the community to comprehensively address needs
Resilience is the individual capacity to succeed despite difficult
experiences

In trauma recovery, fostering resilience is our primary focus

Masten (2001) referred to resiliency factors as ordinary magic

theyre the things embedded in a functioning family, school,

and community.
They include the childs individual strengths and abilities, and
the supportive resources in their environment.
