User Guide of XBMC

XBMC is an excellent, free and open source media center software, it can play
almost all popular audio and video formats if you have installed the plug-ins required.

I .Main menu item introduction

Video: Enabled plug-in list of video type;

Music: Enabled plug-in list of audio type ;
Picture: Enabled plug-in list of picture type;
Favorite: The program be marked as favorite;
Setting: Set relating main menu items

II .Currently selected plug-in type list

Every type of plug-in includes two lists, enabled and disabled. The disabled list
of plug-in does not display corresponding type in the main menu, only to display the
enable list of plug-in in the main menu.

III .The introduction of Configure function in plug-in

1. Configure: Related settings menu of plug-in, some plug-ins require to register
account, to enter the account number and password is also in this menu;
2. Uninstall: Remove the already installed plug-ins (either installed in the
flash or U disk plug);
3. Enable/Disable: The plug-in will move to enabled or disabled list;
4. Change Log: Display the change records of the plug-in .

IV .Plug-in operation introduction

Enter the list of plug-in types in the XBMC main menu, select a plug-in then
press the OK key to start the plug-in. Usually when running the plug-in will get a
sub list, select an item in sub list then press the OK key, may access to play URL
directly, at this time the program will begin to play or obtain a sub list. Select Exit
button will return to the upper layer
A. If the playing program is video or radio type, you can operate it by pressing these
special buttons:
1. Fast forward Button
to speed up the progress of play(when the INFO
content exists);
2. Rewind Button
back for the specified time then play again(when the
INFO content exists);
3.

pause the program current playing;

4.
continue to play current program;
5. FAV Button if you like the program, you can select the FAV button to mark
it, next time you can find it in Favorites menu directly, then can play
it conveniently.
6. INFO Button to view the current program information, and obtain
operation tips.
7. Left Button cut down the voice ( rewind if INFO content exists );

8. Right Button Increase the voice ( speed up if INFO content exists );

9. Exit Button stop playing the program and returning to the play list.
B. If the playing program is picture type, you can operate it by pressing these special
buttons:
1. Up Button to show the previous picture;
2. Down Button to show the next picture;
3. Exit Button stop playing the picture and returning to the play list.

V .The Settings menu of each sub function

1 Disabled Add-ons: shows each kind of disabled list of plug-ins respectively;
2 Enabled Add-ons: shows each kind of enabled list of plug-ins respectively;
3 Get More Add-ons: Download plug-in online, currently only have added the
plug-ins which downloaded from official Xbmc online, sub menu will be sorted
by the plug-in type.
4 Install from ZIP file: Support installing the plug-in by U disk;
5 Save Add-ons to Storage: The current STB plug-ins will be copied to the
U disk, create a folder named XbmcAddons in the U disk, then copy the STB
plug-in to the U disk folder in XbmcAddons;
6 Storage Mode: At present, in the 32M flash only supports install plug-in to the
U disk, U disk installed by zip or online plug-in are all installed in the U disk
folder named XBMCPlugin. When Change to Nand flash program, you can
select the plug-in to be installed in the flash or in the U disk, if the remaining
space is less than the detection of Nand flash up to a certain size ,will not allow
the plug-ins to be installed in the flash.

VI .Online downloads the plug-in menu function introduction

Entering the online download plug-in menu will get a list of plug-ins from Xbmc
official website, it display the lists according to certain classification. Selecting the
appropriate type of menu then press the OK button to download and install the plugin directly, the yellow button can display the basic information of the corresponding
plug-in.
