Activate prior knowledge


Ask some key questions to the class will be asked about the
location of some body parts and the label for others. The class
will then play Simon Says to further activate knowledge.
Students will be divided into three even groups which will
rotate through all the activities
iPad activity
Create a collage using the app Pic Collage. Students will take
pictures of theirs, or their friends body parts to create a
person, verbally label the body parts as they go.
Play dough activity
Students will use play dough to create a human body, during
the activity they will be asked key questions about the location
and labels of the body parts.
Digital Microscope activity
Students will look at their body parts at a deeper level through
the microscope. Students will get to explore themselves with
the microscope and record their findings on an activity sheet
Conclusion Share Circle
Students will gather on the mat in a circle to conclude the
lesson. Students will go over the objectives that occurred
throughout the lesson. Students will also discuss their use of
ICT.
