GrassFilterStrip:AsstatedbyMinnesotaStatesFarmingScience,
GrassFilterStripsareplanted
strategicallybetweenfieldsandsurfacewaters(rivers,streams,lakesanddrainageditches)toprotectwater
quality.Theyslowrunofffromfields,trappingandfilteringsediment,nutrients,pesticidesandotherpotential
pollutantsbeforetheyreachsurfacewaters.Theycanalsobeplantedarounddrainagetileinletsforthe
samepurpose.
