Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:
Responsible for coordinating, administering, and implementing all aspects of the Student Testing
Program (STP) in compliance with established requirements, standards, and objectives. Serves the
point of contact for the ASVAB Career Exploration Program (CEP) for the Military Entrance
Processing Station (MEPS) area of responsibility. Markets the STP by attending local educator
conferences and guidance expos. Promotes expansion of the Student Testing Program (STP).
Develops marketing methods, prepares, coordinates, maintains, and executes activities in support
of the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) STP Joint marketing plan. Analyzes current,
local educational programs to integrate new marketing methods. Provides interpretation of test
results to students, parents, and school officials as needed. Presents the Armed Services
Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Career Exploration Program (CEP) as a means of assisting
students to evaluate educational and career choices both civilian and military. Develops
partnerships with nonparticipating schools to initiate testing and coordinates with participating
schools to improve/sustain participation in the STP within secondary schools, and post-secondary
institutions, building team cohesion to ensure program support. Maintains contact with area
governments and state-level education officials, as directed, to promote STP/CEP and to solicit
support and assistance in gaining acceptance of and participation in the program. Exhibits the
ASVAB CEP at state and regional educational conferences as directed; Coordinates with officials of
the educational community in regards to CEP/ASVAB. Interprets results of ASVAB technical studies
to members of the education community for better understanding of the program. Conducts pre-test
presentations, interpretation of test results, and program presentations to public; private, and
charter schools; home school associations; private/non-profit organizations; and area recruiters,
government officials, and other external stakeholders. Analyzes current state and local educational
programs and develops methods of marketing the STP and maintaining its use in the schools.
Serves as a resource consultant for all technical aspects of the STP as well as assists recruiters
from the military services with STP/CEP related problems. Develops and conducts training for STP
results interpretation for school and recruiting personnel. Evaluates and suggests improvements to
program promotional and support material. Evaluates existing operations in the CEP/STP and
makes recommendations for improvement. Collects, compiles, and analyzes data for program
management and development of technical papers pertaining to this program. Advises the MEPS
Commander concerning plans and policies promulgated by higher authority pertaining to the STP

and the current state of the program to include but not exclusive to the status of Inter-service
Recruitment Committees (IRC) Education Subcommittee, MEPS and Service testing
achievements, and recruiter participation. Participates in state and local professional development
activities. Coordinates activities with ESSs from neighboring MEPS to improve state and/or
regional marketing efforts. Coordinates with MEPS Test Control Officer (TCO) for program and
personnel support as required for mission success. In-depth knowledge of appropriate use of
ASVAB by schools in order to effectively explain the purpose of the ASVAB CEP and how the
testing results can best be used for vocational counseling and career guidance. Practical
knowledge of the regulations, policies, and procedures relating to the management and
administration of all aspects of the Student Testing Program. Ability to extract data and skill in
applying standard data gathering techniques. Ability to apply the ASVAB Marketing Plan;
knowledge of the Student Testing Program. Ensures testing programs have adequate resources for
mission success. Ability to prepare clear concise reports and documents; using knowledge of
correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and style. Prepares written correspondence
as well as charts, graphs, mailings, institutional testing data, handouts, briefings, and materials for
conferences and enclosures for correspondence. Evaluates testing operations to make
recommendations for improvements. Develops plans to improve participation in CEP/STP. Meets
timelines established by the ESS to achieve marketing objectives. Coordinates administrative
activities with other organizational elements and staff sections. Conduct periodic review of files to
ensure proper maintenance and filing of correspondence and records. As 11th Battalion Subject
Matter Expert Test Coordinator, serves as point of contact for all Test Coordinators within the
Battalion to resolve issues at Battalion level.

Works independently to coordinate scheduling of testing sessions with school administrators, the
recruiting services and office of Personnel Management (OPM). Offers general and procedural

service representatives in coordinating/negotiating with high school or junior college officials to

Performed a variety of tests and examinations on applicants for Armed Forces enlistment,
reenlistment, officer candidate physicals for commissioning and entry into officer training programs
and physicals for active and reserve forces personnel. Proctor/Technician for ARMS Test, Trained
Staff proper procedures and documentation for ARMS Test and wrote/implemented SOP for ARMS
Test Procedures. Responsible for ensuring that physicals are valid and entered into the automated
MEPCOM Integrated Resource System (MIRS) in a timely manner and consistent with policies and

acuity and color perception equipment; audiometric testing equipment; breath/alcohol analyzer; and
height/weight scales. Collected and disposed of specimen, stool, urine, sputum and other body
fluids. Instructed/briefed applicants on proper collection procedures for tests. Directly observed
applicants urine donation for drug testing and urine analysis. Drew blood. Performed tests and
examinations on applicants for the Armed Forces enlistment, re-enlistment and training programs.

Created medical packet, arranged for medical consultations, maintained records and required
forms. Measured and recorded height and weight. Measured auditory acuity. Conducted vision
tests. Explained and demonstrated orthopedic examination. Screened records for Testers covered
by the accessions program by specific service standards. Performed Quality Control Procedures on
medical records. Prepared and annotated reports and logs to document test results.
Implemented/sustained current NOLA MEPS Readiness Support Group (RSG). As Leader for
RSG, performs assignments designed to provide familiarity with the various Army Community
Service/Family Programs; to advance effective relations with family members, volunteers,
