Paragraph 1
The two diagrams show changes to the ACE Aircraft Industries site between 1990
and 2010. The most obvious change over the twenty-year period is that the site
had been reduced to almost half its original size.
Paragraph 2
In 1990, the site had an Aircraft Manufacturing and Assembly building in the
northern half of the site, as well as an aircraft runway. By 2010, however, this
building and the runway had made way for private housing. The housing estate
is accessible from a road that had been built along the western side of the site,
with a connecting road leading to the houses.
Paragraph 3
In addition, other changes were made over the twenty years. In 2010, the
Administration Building also housed the new Social Club, and an overhead
walkway added, giving access to an expanded Jet Engine Manufacturing and
Testing building on the right side of the main entrance gate. Further changes
include new staff parking immediately to the right of the security gate and the
relocation of the helicopter pad to within the northern boundary fence.
