Activity #2: TRUE/FALSE QUIZ

Read the following questions to your group. Have them predict the
true/false answerthen explain the correct answer to them.
It is OK to use your backpack as a locker.
(True you just might not want to do this! Every single person is
assigned a locker, but it is up to you if you actually want to use it.)

(False there is NO pool at our school, and there is NO 4 th floor!)

words, you will still be a 9th grader!)

time)
(False there is 1st lunch and 2nd lunch. Lunches are decided based upon
your 4th hour teacher.)

ADVISORY ACTIVITIES
(12:15-12:35 P.M.)

Activity #1: WHEEL OF SUCCESS FACTORS

For this activity you will be using a wheel to identify important things you
can do to have a successful freshman year. Our goal at Richfield High
School is to see you pass all 12 of your classes (you need at least 8
credits to go on to the 10th grade!) and feel connected. So, what kinds
of things do you think you need to do to achieve academic
success and feel connected to your school? Place one item in as
many bubbles as you can and beEx:

Try to to discuss your ideas with your

Activity #2: ITS NORMAL TO BE NERVOUS

Each freshman will write down two things that he/she is concerned about
regarding the new school year (or questions that they have regarding
RHS). A Spartan Crew member will collect these pieces of paper and the
teacher will read each piece of paper and discuss the concern with the
group (hopefully clarifying, explaining, and/or reassuring).
