out more,debate more or even solve problems more.But thats not how it works.A bad
state of mind,a stressful event, a fear, anything that gets lodged in the subconscious and
grows its roots waiting to pollenize is bound to affect the person and the people
around .But most of the times they dont reach the surface . Its the calm before the
storm,that seems like its lasting forever .When these emotions reach the surface,they
manifest through extremes in behavior ranging from ecstasy to despair. A mix of
uncertainty and fear that dominates societies today.The subjects in the paintings are
being watched by the viewer ,but their bizarre number continues unwillingly .It evokes a
theatrical atmosphere of unconscious reactions to the envoirment. But the environment is
anything but passive .The environment shapes the atmosphere ,and brings the subject into
the spotlight.One would think ,the colors are the only thing still rational in this
situation,the order to this chaos.But the colors are as much complicit to this circus of
feelings as the characters are.The abstract compositions come as an answer to the
confusion created by the previous questions.One must take a broad look at the situation,to
understand its complexity.A zoom out to see the structures and layers that form society
and the individual.These compositions bring to mind satellite images, and invoke a sense
of surveillance . The starting point for these compositions are actual maps , comprising of
urban areas.In Romania ,the communist period saw the peak in systematization and the
mass construction of communist type flats build to hold a large number of
inhabitants.The cold and steryl architecture inspire no more than a sense of overcrowded
spaces filled with the stories and lives of the people that live there These are the
characters being watched.These are the people that build this complex social
structure.These are the elements of the big picture.The result of an ongoing struggle
within.These are the actors in the theatrical play.One must question who are they acting
for ,and cannot help but think that they are actually acting for themselves.
