1. SCOPE & OBJECTIVES


The scope of this method statement is to define the procedure that will be followed for Anti termite treatment for
BEACH VILLA (B+G+1+PH) on BVN 55-60, PEARL QATAR FOR MR. FAHAD ALFARDAN.
The objective of applying a termiticide to the soil is to provide an unbroken chemical barrier between the soil adjacent to
the project and its perimeter & the termite colonies in the soil, Thus termiticide will be applied thoroughly and uniformly to block

2. REFERENCES

3. ACCESS/ EGRESS
Access will be through designated entrance and exit pathways.
4. LOGISTICS
Contractor will deploy a dedicated team for the scheduled and planned work.
5. HEALTH & SAFETY HAZARDS
All personnel involved in this task shall wear safety helmets, safety boots, safety glasses and hearing protection hand
gloves.
All involved personnel shall have received the required safety induction training.
The required consolidated permit to work (CPW) shall be obtained prior to commencement of work.

The Project HSE officer is responsible along with the project /section / site engineer for ensuring that all operations are
carried out with due regard to the safety of all project personnel and property.

7. RESPONSIBILITIES / SUPERVISION
Section / Site Engineer shall make sure that the anti termite treatment application is done as per the approved
procedure.
Project Safety Officer is the custodian of HSE Procedure of AMTC. His duty is to advise and monitor supervisors
compliance with the works safety procedure.
QA/QC Inspector shall be responsible for the supervision of tests and inspection, control approvals for testing and
inspection plan and to arrange documentation required.
8. PROCEDURE / METHOD TO BE EMPLOYED:
8.1 Treatment will be done after pouring the ground slab, backfilling, and compacting the surrounding soil.

8.3 Treatment will be applied to horizontal area covered up to 500mm of the adjacent perimeter of the horizontal slab
and vertical area if any.
8.4 The aqueous solution of termiticide will be applied using high pressure (power spraying machine).
8.5 Horizontal area covered will be inspected and spot treatment will be applied for the whole project where minor
cracks are witnessed in the slab to prevent termite from penetrating, especially at the joints, manholes, drains,
rafts, cable passages, and voids.
8.6 Injection and spraying is also carried out to block the colonies of termite around fittings, expansion joints and
pipes.
8.7 Treatment and application against termites will comply with the applicable Environmental regulation in Qatar.
8.8 The application of the anti-termite will adhere to safety requirements recognized internationally as mentioned in
the attached Method statement and risk assessment.
8.9 The vertical layer treatment will be done in 2 phases. The first phase will be on the perimeter area 1 meter below
ground level and the second phase will be applied on ground level.
8.10 Treatment application should follow manufacture recommendation.
8.11 It is recommended not to excavate or disturb the perimeter of the ground slab after the treatment.
8.12 Keep attic and foundation areas well ventilated and dry (if applicable).
8.13 After treatment the solution shall rest to dry for at least 12 hrs after the treatment.

9. TRAINING
Relevant trainings and orientations have been provided to person who will perform their specified task.
10. WORKING HOURS
As advised.
11. HOUSE KEEPING
Working Areas will be kept clean by disposing the waste materials at the designated areas. At the end of days work,
Site Supervisor will ensure that the debris are disposed off.
