The registration deadline is May 03, 2015 which is no later than ten days after the start of the
class as per the agreement. No late registration will be accepted.
Course Title:
Google Apps for Education (GAfE): A Starter Course
A. Course Requirements
1. Attend four sessions on site and one virtual session (6.25 hours)
2. 16 hours class time: 6.25 hours in class and 9.75 hours outside of class.
3. Plan for the integration of Google Apps into at least 2 different lesson plans; use
communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking skills within the lesson
( 4 hours)
a. Discuss your lesson plans with your assigned group in an approved
collaborative session.
b. Reflect on the successfulness of one of the planned lesson. (Reflective
Forms will be shared in Google Apps)
4. Plan and complete one activity with the ET at your school or the Course Instructor
using Google Apps (2 hours)
a. Discuss your lesson plans with ET at your school or the course instructor
using an approved collaborative session

b. Reflect on the successfulness of the activity. (Reflective Forms will be shared


in Google Apps)

B. Course Description and Outcomes


This course is designed for educators to gain an understanding of how to use Google Apps
for Education (GAfE) to provide student centered learning:

Introduce educators to the essentials of Google Apps for Education.


Teach educators to sign into their accounts and use Google mail.
Teach educators to understand and set up Google Drives for efficient instructional
practices.
Teach educators how to use Google Docs and Google Slides.

C. Grading Policy
A - Complete course requirements 1 - 6 in Section A.
Submit all required documentation by May 28, 2015.
B - Complete course requirements 1 -5 in Section A.
Submit all completed work and documentation by May 28, 2015.
C - Complete course requirements 1 - 4 in Section A.
Submit all completed work and documentation by May 28, 2015.
F- Less than 4 of the course requirements completed.
