It was a well prepared and planned lesson with an

engaging and creative game format to assist
students in reviewing important unit concepts and
knowledge. Students were actively involved
during the learning process. Your quiz at the end
of the game was especially effective in
connecting to your learning objectives. As you
noted, you had to make a real adjustment in your
plans on short notice. Yet your plan included all
elements of a well designed lesson in a detailed
manner. As we discussed, what other
resources/strategies could have been used to
support students with the game?

Evidence (Candidate and Student)

You were very respectful and supportive in your
interactions with students. The game was exciting
to students and created a challenging situation
behaviorally. Yet you were always able to redirect
students to be attentive when questions were
read and responses were needed.
As you teach future lessons, consider using more
nonverbal cues and addressing students more
directly to manage behavior. How could you have
made this game more collaborative for students?

way. Each individual for both teams had the

opportunity to actively participate in game. I
liked the way that you shared behavioral
expectations as well as procedural directions
for the game. All students were listening to
the questions asked. You provided processing
information for confusing concepts during the
game. The quiz at the end provided students
the opportunity to share what they had
learned by the end of the game. More visuals
would have helped students better relate to
each question. As you do more lessons like this
one, you will learn to anticipate other needed
procedures.
