Intervention Notes: Student is given an


unsent letter to write regarding the
aftermath of the meteor hitting the moon,
bringing it closer to Earth, which in turn
changes the gravitational pull from the
moon. In order to develop a strong thesis,
she will brainstorm with another student
(more proficient writer) to develop ideas.
Sentence framing by the instructor will be
given to initiate a proper response.

1. Student will complete a cluster map to


brainstorm ideas for her paper
2. Student will be provided with a
persuasive essay graphic organizer to
develop her supporting ideas, and
conclusion in the proper order.

Intervention Notes: Student will revisit with


the peer from Round 1 and do some peer
editing. They will be given a rubric for the
argumentative essay and give each other
suggestions for improvement

Intervention Notes: Teacher will meet oneon-one with student to review the essay.
Teacher will discuss progress as well as
opportunities for improvement and student
will have another opportunity to edit and
revise before final submission
