wa March 25, 2015 CASD Board of Directors lo President Miracle 435 Stanley Avenue Chambersburg, PA. 17201 Prosident Miracle and Members of the Board: We are very proud and dedicated administrators and supervisors of the Chambersburg Atea School Dist in the district as: employees, taxpayers, citizens of your constituency, parents, and alumni, e invested We are not here to criticize any individual tonight. We are here to do the exact opposite. We are here to show our respect and support for the current leadership of Joseph Padasak, Billy Hodge, and Chris Bigger (just left last week). Under their leadership we have seen: ‘Dramatic increases in student performance © CASD’s value added rankings i + ELA: 12 out of 624 districts and charter schools = Math- 14" out of 624 districts and charter schools "= Special education students and English Language Learners were each ranked #1 out of 135, districts and charters with similar demographics + Attached are two graphs supporting the School Performance Profil (SPP) rankings and CASD. ‘growth scores + Created and built Carccr Magnet School + Renovated CASHS and Hamilton Heights + Buile Ben Chambers, Fayetteville, and New Pranklin + Expanded Advanced Placement opportunities and are recognized nationally for our performance + NIROTC program + Esublished Intemational Baccalaureate program + College Board District of Distinction Award for significant gains in student access and success + Enhanced connections tothe business community ‘© Recognized by the US Department of Education for our middle school math performance and implementation of Power Teaching ‘Many times letters to the editor are sent tothe Public Opinion by individuals who do not have all of the facts, We hope that the Chambersburg Area School District community (residents and employees) understand that. Itis difficult to sit back and watch these individuals state what they believe to be “fact”. Due to the ongoing negative tenor, we now feel that we must share our perspective of the outstanding leadership of the District, We believe inthe vision, mission, and shared values that Joseph Padasak, Bill Hodge, and Chris Bigger have championed.
