Skills

Creative I am very interested in arts, music and media and participate in activities related to art both at home and for
school.

Willing to learn I am always interested in learning new things and adding to knowledge I already have.

Listening I am a good listener and great at taking in information and waiting for my turn to speak.

Patient Many people remark on how patient I am. I have no problem waiting for long periods of time or participating in
long tasks/jobs.

Friendly Although I am usually reserved, I am a naturally friendly and kind person.

Courteous and Well-Mannered I always try to think of how my actions will affect the feelings of others.

Trustworthy I try hard to be reliable and dependable as well as encourage trust between myself and others.

Work/Volunteer Experience
Trinity Baptist Church (summer of 2011, 2012)

For a week in the summer of 2011 I volunteered to help with odd jobs while the church was renovating. These jobs included
moving/disposing of waste or furniture, organizing rooms, vacuuming rooms and painting. In the summer of 2012 I
volunteered as a junior leader in one of the churchs weeklong day camps. Under the direction of an adult leader, me and 23 youth were responsible for a group of about 15 children (I believe our group was that of ages 8-10), but all the junior
leaders would be responsible for much larger numbers when the groups merged for activities. I was also personally
responsible for 3 of the younger children when we separated for smaller activities or field trips.

H&R Transport (summers and weekends of 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014)

My father lives in H&Rs Kelowna yard as a security guard/groundskeeper/maintenance man. I have been paid on several
occasions either by the company or my father to help with jobs like mowing the lawn in the yard, creating and painting
signage for the yard, and painting/helping build my fathers living residence in the yard.

Child & Youth Mental Health (2014-present)

I volunteer as a co-facilitator for the weekly Mindful Teens group alongside two mental health professionals. It is my
responsibility to instruct my peers on better ways to manage stress, deal with life issues, and understand and control their
emotions. It is my job to listen and give advice to between 4-10 teenagers and their parents.
