Introduction

My name is Samantha Pedri and I am a senior at Wayne State University in the Bachelors of
Social Work Program. I am expected to graduate in May of 2015. After my graduation, I plan to
attend graduate school, for my M.S.W. to further expand my education and knowledge.
I graduated from Richmond High School in 2010 with the dream of becoming a photographer.
After a few courses at Macomb Community College I decided to continue my education in social
work. I received my associates from Macomb and transferred to Wayne State.
After the B.S.W. program I do not plan to look for a job right away seeing that I will be going
straight to the Masters program. I look forward to working in any field in the future but find
myself interested in areas such as: School social work, mental health, substance abuse, and
domestic violence. I am still thinking about and exploring my options and continuing research.
Personal things about myself would be that I am passionate about dance and teaching dance. I
have been a dancer for 16 years. I am a professional NBA dancer for the Detroit Pistons and
teach at a recreational dance studio. When I have time, it is spent with family or friends. I am a
movie person, I love art, and love to sleep.
