COMMITTEE STRUCTURE
FINANCE COMMITTEE
Responsibilities:
Fiscal monitoring
Annual association budget development/review
Strong Kids Campaign
Endowment development
Investment monitoring
Borrowing/debt service
Annual audit/review

BOARD DEVELOPMENT (BD)


Responsibilities:
Assessment of board needs (diversity, skills, representation of community)
Assessment of board membership as outlined in association board standards
Identification of future board leadership from the community
Contacts and educates future board leadership
Proposes director and officer nominees to the YMCA Board of Directors
Board training and recognition
Fund Development And Charitable Giving Committee (FD&CG)
Responsibilities:
Create a baseline of the Ys position in the community as a cause driven charitable organization
Evaluate current fundraising models and implement new strategies to grow contributed income
Research Grant Opportunities for the YMCA to engage
Evaluate current special events and annual campaigns to determine
Other items as determined by the committee to support our 2013 Road Map

BRAND AND IMAGE COMMITTEE (B & I)


Responsibilities:
Execute a board and staff training on Living Our Cause and the Y brand voice
Develop and implement a plan to build the Ys story to use to communicate to our members and
community what the Y is about
Evaluate effectiveness of current membership and program campaigns

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND COLLABORATIONS COMMITTEE (CE&C)


Responsibilities:
Evaluate current collaborations and partnerships for effectiveness and develop ways to
strengthen those partnerships
Develop strategies to create new partnership opportunities
Implement the YMCA of the USA/Seer Analytics Metrics based surveys
Develop and monitor Community Wellness and Engagement programs
o Corporate memberships
o KSB Partnership
o New Partnerships
o New Community Programs
Ad hoc Committees:
These committees are those that may be formed for a short period of time and/or for specific tasks.
Assigned as needed.
