Instructions and Information for Internship at RLEK

1. Recommendation letter from the faculty member of the intern to be submitted


by the intern with 2 passport photographs.
2. The interns have to carry their id proof (voter id/ driving license/ PAN card
etc.) and submit a copy of it. If you do not have an id, then show your
fathers id and submit a copy of it.
3. The interns should be willing to intern with the organization for a minimum
period of one month.
4. The intern should be willing to take up the community work and be willing to
stay in the field offices or villages as and when required. Interns are required to
work on the ongoing projects at RLEK which are related to any rural and
developmental work and may not just confine to law work.
5. A modest accommodation shall be provided to outstation interns (optional) at
subsidized rates i.e. Rs. 120 per day. Separate girls and boys dormitories shall
be provided for the interns. Separate bathrooms shall be provided for the
dormitories. Transportation in special cases only, on prior bookings, is provided.
6. Interns can also avail the facility of our Community mess at subsidized rates of
Rs. 180 per day (i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner).
7. All the payments (mess and accommodation) will be made to the mess Secretary
for which youll get a receipt.
8. Interns are requested to report at the reception and register on Day 1 of the
internship. Attendance shall be marked everyday in the morning and evening.
9. You are not allowed to get inside the kitchen, staffs room etc.
10.Dinner is served by 8:00-9:00 pm and the interns are required to be back in the
dormitories by 10:00 pm. No liquor or smoking is allowed in the campus of
RLEK. In case of any discipline complaint, the internship shall be
terminated and intern be asked to leave.
11.Number of days per week: 6.
12.Work Timing: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
13.Dress Code: Should be decently dressed. Short pants/ skirts/ dresses not
allowed. Hostel interns are expected to maintain the code after office hours
also.
14. In case of any destruction or misuse of property in RLEK campus, the intern is
liable to pay the compensation.
15. In case of discipline issues the internship of the intern will be immediately
cancelled with a report to the respective college.
