Pain and stiffness in your
extremities
Loss of coordination
Slurred speech
Drowsiness
Disorientation
Irregular breathing
Loss of consciousness

Contact a trained

if you think you
have symptoms
of frost bite or
hypothermia.

Warm the affected area immediately


with blankets or warm (NOT HOT)
water
Get a Ben & Jerrys first aid provider for
medical attention
Elevate the affected area
Exercise the affected area (increase the
circulation)
Avoid rubbing the affected area
Dont walk on frostbitten feet

Get victim to a warm area
Warm with blankets or warm
clothes
Keep victim alert
Have victim drink warm beverage
Remove victims clothing if wet,
tight or frozen
