Final Draft
To achieve your dreams in your life, you need good education. For good education we need to
pay good money, but there are still many other factors which make you chose a college .After
getting a degree, hall your life changes, now you start making real money, and you can afford
more things to make yourself happier and your family. So for me, to be on comfortable distance
I chose best colleges for me, they are University of Southern Indiana, Purdue University
Indianapolis and, Purdue University .They are all famous in Indiana, they give good degrees and
a lot of majors. I personally want to go to criminal justice and law. Three colleges I am interested
in attending are University of Southern Indiana, Purdue University Indianapolis and, Purdue
University.

University of Southern Indiana was established on September 15, 1965, because

of need for higher education in the area. It helped most of the people to get their degrees without
leaving home city, and spend extra money. Southern Indiana Higher Education, Inc., raised
nearly $1 million to acquire 1,400 acres for the Mid-America University Center (History). On
April 16, 1985, legislation was signed which made USI a separate state university. All legal
matters were effective July 1, 1985 (History). The University of Southern Indiana is one of
five state universities in Indiana conferring baccalaureate and higher degrees.

A major

emphasis of the University of Southern Indiana continues to be delivery of credit programs. For
the near term, the primary curricular offerings will include liberal arts, pre-professional,

professional, technical, and occupational programs at both associate and baccalaureate levels
(Academic).USI offers so many degrees, so you would not need to transfer to different school
to get your degree done. There are seventy undergraduate academic majors, ten master's
programs, and one doctoral program. The newest degree programs include the doctorate in
nursing practice and baccalaureate majors in advanced manufacturing and criminal justice
(Academic).

Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis was founded in 1969,

because of need higher education, bigger college campuses. Indiana University and Purdue were
unified to create much bigger company, with more classes and degrees. It made people happier in
the area, and started to increase quality of education. IUPUI is one of seven campuses of Indiana
University and includes two Purdue University schools. The campus offers more than 225
degrees provided by 21 different schools (History). IUPUI has more students from Indiana
than any other campus in the state.

Almost 75 percent of IUPUI classes have 25 or

fewer students. With research expenditures of nearly $275 million in 2013, IUPUI is the secondlargest site for research in Indiana (Academic). The campus offers more than 225 degrees
provided by 21 different schools. IUPUI offers many great degrees helping people to choose
right direction, and reach their goals fastest way. Even if I will choose to become lawyer, IUPUI
offers four years of college for that, and two years of law school, which will help me to not go
and search for law school, and probably will make it easier for me.

Lincoln signs the Morrill Land Grant Act, which turned public lands over to any state that agreed
to use the land sale proceeds to maintain a college teaching agriculture and the "mechanic
arts,"(History). In 1865 Indiana General Assembly votes to participate in the plan and takes
steps to establish such an institution (History). The Indiana General Assembly chooses the
Lafayette area for the new institution and accepts a $150,000 gift from John Purdue, as well as

$50,000 from Tippecanoe County and 100 acres from local residents. The legislature names the
new school Purdue University (History). University hall is completed, becoming the central
building on the Purdue campus. Today, it remains the oldest building on campus.

Purdue

University has more than 200 majors, they have more than 30000 students each year. Purdue
Colleges and Schools has 10 colleges and schools plus an academic program that allows us to
explore your interests before committing to a major (Academic). Purdue is rigorous, but
resources to foster success are plentiful. Demand for Purdue grads is high because the markets
demand quality. Purdue is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
A great education gives a successful life and joyful job. Being able to find good
college, your career foundation will be strong. The right college for me is the University of
Sothern Indiana because its in Evansville, and gives a really good education, and its not so
expensive. University of Southern Indiana, Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis,
and Purdue University are the three colleges that I would love to go. I would love to go to USI
because it is close to my home. I would prefer IUPUI because they have law school inside their
campus. I would be dreaming to go to Purdue University because they give a great education.
