Online classes and traditional classes

OUTLINE

I. Introduction:
Currently, it is reported that online learning has been increasing exponentially,
resulting from technology advances whereas traditional classes still retain the dominant
role. Although both learning methods require the positive attitudes of learners, enrich
their intellectuality and evaluate their potential, they are obviously dissimilar in various
aspects of expense, convenience and interaction.

II. Body paragraph 1 :

Topic sentence: The first difference is that online classes are more economical than
traditional ones.
A. The tuition is much cheaper.
B. There is no cost to build, maintain classes and upgrade their facilities.
C. Students do not need to purchase textbooks and learning materials when they are
available online.

III. Body paragraph 2 :

Topic sentence: Another difference is that online learning is a more convenient way to
take part in classes.
A. These classes can be operated at anytime and anywhere.
B. Learners do not have to go to school every day as well as they are no longer tired
of facing traffic jams.
C. Students can choose courses which are appropriate to their level and their
preferences

IV. Body paragraph 3 :

Topic sentence:

The interactions between teachers and learners as well as among

students in traditional classes are stronger and bring greater learning efficiency.
A. Students can grasp quickly lectures when they have the opportunity to
communicate directly with their teachers.
B. Teachers can assess the levels of their students easily and exactly to use
interceded methods properly.

C. Learners can coordinate and support each other in their studying through
practicing together and sharing feedbacks frequently.

VI. Conclusion:
In conclusion, these two kinds of learning are disparate irrefutably but both are
very popular and useful tools of education. Each type is suitable for a particular purpose
and object. In my opinion, traditional classes are indispensable and irreplaceable in spite
of the encroachment of online learning.

2. Reading and watching TV

ESSAY
Until now, television and reading materials - magazine, newspaper, book are the
most powerful tools of entertainment and education. Both of them can pursue their own
objects to extend the knowledge about some more things, facts and persons as well as
make us discuss, think and explore something new so that they may change our minds
and our attitude to things around us. Besides that, each media has different characteristics
related to the elements of activity, content and convenience.
The first notable difference between reading book and watching TV is that
reading is more active than the other. Obviously, watching TV means that we are
passively receiving images, in an order controlled by another person. Since it requires
less effort on behalf of the audience, we do not tend to develop better imagination and
language skills. Conversely, reading is thought-provoking when we work more by using
our imagination and experiences to grasp every idea exactly and deeply. For this reason,
reading can help boost the mental powers more significantly than watching TV.
One more difference is that reading can offer contents more adequately but less
effectively. It is irrefutable to say that reading gives us a huge source of information in all
fields, from daily life to study, in contrast to television which only provides a general part
of the knowledge. However, reading can not convey the content as well as the message
easily and quickly as watching TV because of without interesting images, attractive voice
and lively emotion.
The final difference is that reading is much more propitious than watching TV. If
we go out and would like to have something to enjoy, carrying a television by our side
will be impossible as opposed to bringing a favourite book or newspaper which may be
completely popular among us. As reading materials are portable, reading can happen
everywhere.

As can be seen, these two hobbies are different but both are very vital in our life
since they can make us relaxed and more cognizant. When deciding what we do in the
spare time, we can consider relying on these contrasts and it all depends on what we are
looking for. Personally, I prefer reading because I can mull over what the author is telling
to perceive the message and then connect to my personal experiences.
