Americans use appetizers to indicate the first item ate


in a three course meal. The term appetizer seems to
have appeared nearly in England and America in the
nineteen century simply to provide an Anglophone
equivalent for the French term hors-doeuvre.
Appetizers can be hot, chilled or warm and there are
thousands of different ones to choose from . In recent
times, appetizers have changed considerably. In fact,
over the past ten or twenty years we are getting more
familiar with exotic appetizers.
