Pre-planning
Objectives/Learning Intentions:
For students to gain knowledge of other identities. People must appreciate and
acknowledge other identities. Promote culture, language and identities in a
globalizing world.


Success Criteria:
Identify students as individuals. Identify students in a collective group. Understand
that people are in multiple groups. There are small and large sizes of collective.
Groups. Understand how globalization impacts collective and global identity.

Cross-curricular Competencies:
Engage students to understand their identity collective and individual. Insure
students gain a good understanding of different groups around them through
communication. Insure students understand what effects their identity such a
culture and economic.

Materials:
Candy and bags and powerpoint.

Beginning

Reflection:

-The kids were involved wondering how they fit into different group.
-The kids comparing there individual and collective groups went well.
-Would have been nicer to have more groups, creating more variety allowing more of a comparison.
