Tech- Pack in Action: Analyze a Scenario

Tech-PACK Components
Technology

What is known
Mia wants to integrate
technology into her class
because they were having
trouble learning about
cultures.

Pedagogy

She realized her original

method of teaching
cultures with food didnt
work and the students
didnt get the point of the
assignment therefore her
goals were not met.

Content

Her goals were : better

attitudes towards other
cultures, learn more about
similarities/ differences of
different cultures, and
more knowledge about the
geography/ government of
the country.

What must be learned

Mia must have a computer
that can access the
internet and can scan
media into it. She also
must learn if she can
become the administrator
for the page her class will
use. She also must
teacher her class how to
use the resources she
wants to use.
Mia needs to do an
assessment and see how
much information her
students know about
technology. She needs to
give them rules and
guidelines to follow when
dealing with the internet
and the requirements for
her project.
Mia needs to review the
material of each
integration plan with her
students so she knows
that her goals are being
met.

b) Mia needs to learn more about technology and how it works before she begins
planning her assignment. She also needs to spend more time planning the
assignment and doing it herself to see if it will work. Mia should try putting them
into groups of three and having them learn about a certain culture that way and
possibly include her original plan of food into this new assignment.
